cricut ricrac....

As promised here is a snap of the ricrac cut . I love using this as I can choose any paper to match with the project I am making at the time.
These are superfine and I did it on the gypsy and it was fiddly until I got the hang of it.
I am planning on doing more and graduating the sizes for increased options.

I have done smaller in the past but need to be in the mood as it was tiny tiny tiny and so gorgeous!

Gypsy Welding.....and ricrac

I love my gypsy.... but tonight it has tested me. I am making very fine ricrac so I can get lots of options in colours and prints to match in with  other cuts.
It has really tested me.
With my favourite music and a moscato beside me I have finally succeeded
Thanks to some video tutorials from various sources and a great deal of patience....which escaped me for a while...I now have super fine paper ricrac and loving it.
I will post something in the next day or two to show the finished product.
Happy days

Day out and lovely finds....

Hubby and I took a drive today and went ot an antique & old wares shop in Stratford. I will visit regularly now I have seen it. There are rooms of old wares to die for....well for me atleast.
I was very refrained and only spent $22.......

This little dish (crystal on wooden base) was only $5 but before I saw the price Iloved it...has slight chipped edges but looks glorious on my work desk, The doily is lovely pink and white and very nice was $4...sorry not a great picture..

All the books were 12 for $10... the subjects and pictures are perfect for any of our paper craft, tags, flowers etc so I am thrilled.
This one is a music book of old english hymns.....
There are several dictionaries, some with diagrams and a couple fo novels eg pygmalion with illustrations...

op shopping, market and more.....

We have a monthly St Vinnies sale day in our town. On the first Saturday of every month the sale starts at 9am. So many people go that there is a rope fence put up and it is not until exactly 9am that the rope drops and the crowd moves rapidly amongst the various tables.

There is all sorts of wonderfull things on sale and is a very worthwhile venture for this charity.
I have only just started going and get a real kick out of it. I always come home with something!! My husband always groans!!! My like minded friends always wish they lived in the area too!!!

Anyway today I did not buy too much but did enjoy myself. It is also very social and I met lots of friends and workmates there today.

So there is a big role of yarn, about 8 rolls of crochet thread and other yarn, and old boook for tags, flowers etc, some lace and doilies, a heavy (maybe silver but I dont think so) swan and other bits and pieces of jewellery for altered art etc.
I love this blackwood bowl which will be on my work table

No matter what its made of this is adorable. I can see it as a pincusion or simply to hold my jewellery bits during a project..

This bag of star anise is one of a few I made a few years ago and I still love it. The smell is divine.

The chook below is a little project I made up years ago. It has cloves inside and a cinnamin stick tied to the outsie and dimply hangs on door knobs or in closets. I sold so many of these. i also did heart and cow shapes at the time....love them!!

Anyway I am off to take some more snaps and plan my next project or two.
